Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream

My baby developed Eczema when she was one year two months old. Really bad rashes and I was in a need of Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream.

We tried the cortizone a few times and the problem became worse. The recommendations of pediatrician did not work. I found Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream and stared using it after I aplied Florazone. IT is a homeophatic cream and together both work wonderful.

Ingredients of Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream - Colloidal oatmeal (1%)

Directions - Twist off cap and remove quality seal (do not use if seal is broken). Apply liberally or as needed.

Try to keep your baby’s skin from becoming too dry. Daily bathing may be of great help for babies with eczema. Use lukewarm water because very warm or hot water dries out the skin faster than lukewarm water.

Use a mild cleanser, and wash and shampoo your baby at the end of the bath so your baby isn’t sitting in soapy water. As soon as you get your baby out of the tub, pat his or her skin dry (don’t rub), then promptly apply a liberal amount of moisturizer or emollient – an ointment, cream, or lotion that “seals in” the body’s own moisture.

Take Precautions while applying Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream

  • Scratching and rubbing may irritate or inflame the skin and make matters much worse.
  • During a flare-up, you can try applying cool compresses to the area several times a day, followed by a moisturizer.
  • Help your baby avoid scratching.
  • Put baby to bed with cotton mittens or socks on his or her hands, if your baby will tolerate them.
  • Rapid changes in temperature can make eczema worse, so try not to let your baby get too hot and then cool quickly, or the other ways.
  • Use the softest sheets possible in the crib, and keep your baby’s nails short.
  • Baby may try to get relief by scratching or by rubbing face against the sheet when sleeping.

Allow your baby’s skin to breathe in smooth natural fabrics like cotton. Don’t use wool and other scratchy materials, which may irritate very sensitive skin & develop rashes. Avoid fabric softeners.
